Our Story

Founded in 1982, DBC began as a specialist supplier of binding, laminating, and print finishing equipment. From day one, our mission has been to help Irish businesses elevate their documents and presentations with reliable machines, quality supplies, and expert advice.

Over the years, our company has grown and diversified, however, we remain true to our roots.  To this day, we still stock a wide selection of Coil, Wire, and Fastback (Strip) binding systems and supplies, because even in a digital world, there’s still a real need for the physical touch.  It’s that tangible finish; a bound proposal, a laminated report or a smart ID badge because it still matters. It’s that physical assurance of quality and professionalism.

Adapting with Innovation

As digital transformation accelerated, we evolved our offering into ID solutions, including card printers, lanyards, badge accessories, and full card production systems for clients in education, healthcare, government, local authorities, business, and beyond.

We also supply and source a full range of access control cards, compatible with all major systems. No matter the RFID configuration, we can match and deliver the exact cards required for your access control infrastructure – offering peace of mind, compatibility, and convenience.

This journey led us to develop ID Reception, our own digital Visitor Management System – a sleek, touchscreen-based platform that replaces the traditional paper visitor book with a secure, modern, and compliant solution.

We also supply a range of professional shredders, which are ideal for protecting sensitive information and ensuring GDPR compliance across sectors.

The Packaging Evolution

Our next chapter brought us into the world of specialist packaging. With the addition of wide-format laminating films, Vivid Veloblade digital cutting systems, and surface film laminates, our clients can now create bespoke boxes and packaging with integrated software support and optional over-laminates to give that perfect final presentation.
